Took everything in me not to tell her that I was sick of racist @ssholes like her. #Trumpsworld..They see the racist @sshole in the White House so feel empowered to say racist things...I did not say anything but I gave her the dirtiest look ever. Left no doubt what I thought about her. Hours later and I’m still pissed.

I'm not saying those in question can, but there's definitely differences in appearance, language, and mannerisms. Sometimes it's as subtle as telling the difference between someone from the US and an English speaking Canadian and sometimes it's as pronounced as telling the difference between someone from the US and someone from the UK. There's also sometimes significant differences from different regions of Mexico. Naturally from the xenophobic wingnut point of view everyone who speaks Spanish and is brown is Mexican, even though neither one of those things are exclusive to Mexico.
