Trump's crowd in Michigan reminds me of a group of trained seals. And I don't mean that in a good

way. His shtick has gotten so old, but they still bark on cue. They don't even force him to elevate his game, it's just the same old bullshit. It's hard to believe that they still buy his bull when he lies about absolutely everything. If these people's children or spouses lied like he does they wouldn't find it acceptable, but somehow the president can lie with impunity and it means nothing to them. I do realize he's a carnival barker and his rallies may be their only source of affordable entertainment since wrestling is no longer on TV. But I can't imagine that they believe exposing their children to a regular diet of political bullshit is healthy even if they think at the time that it is giving the middle finger to the Dems.

At some point, I would imagine, they would be concerned about the long term implications of having a president who you'd need to fact check if you asked him what time it is. Again, if they wouldn't accept this behavior from their children or their spouse, or their children's teacher, or their boss on their job, or their doctor, why do they accept it from their president? Particularly when there will come a day when the topic will be a serious one for this nation, it may be going to war or no war in Iran, and we have to depend on the president to be the arbiter of what is fact and what is fiction, particularly when his press secretary is no better.

The best one-sentence response to: “Describe the state of average Americans during the Trump administration.”
