T-Mobile CEO John Legere made 424 times more than the Bellevue-based wireless provider's median employee in 2017, according to a document filed Thursday with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The pay gap which companies are now required to disclose under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act is larger than the gap at Nordstrom (187 to 1), Boeing (166 to 1) and Amazon (59 to 1).
Legere made more than $23.6 million in 2017 while the median employee compensation for the company's 51,300 employees was $55,739. While T-Mobile posted the widest pay gap, its median employee compensation was more than Nordstrom ($30,105) and Amazon ($28,000). Boeing's was $111,204.
Legere's compensation included a $1.6 million base salary, nearly $16.3 million in stock awards, nearly $5.7 million in incentives and $67,000 in other compensation more than $48,000 for security. His 2016 compensation was nearly $20.1 million.
Here's a look at the compensation increases for T-Mobile's highest-paid executives in 2017:
Chief Operating Office Mike Sievert: Nearly $18.9 million in 2017, up from nearly $8.4 million in 2016.
Chief Financial Officer Braxton Carter: Nearly $11.2 million in 2017, up from nearly $6.8 million in 2016.
Chief Technology Officer Neville Ray: Nearly $8.1 million in 2017, up from more than $6.5 million in 2016.
