In my opinion, he's setting up his narrative. He took a couple of issues off the table with his FOX interview this morning. Yes, of course he stayed overnight in Moscow. Of course, Cohen worked for him on that "crazy Stormy Daniels" thing.
So now, when he is questioned, they can no longer say Trump lied about his stay in Moscow. They can no longer say that he is not "David Dennison". He confessed.
How much more will he admit to before he goes before his interview with Robert Mueller?
He seems to be getting all the simple perjury charges out of the way?

(8,999 posts)Would make wonderful ad for the 2018 election. Him denying and then admitting all those events.
So much to pick from.
It would be a long ad, but riveting.

(6,125 posts)The infamous "Bunny money" was not used by Edwards nor his campaign for anything. His chief accuser, aid Andrew Young, had scammed Bunny Mellon into making secret gifts she thought were for Edwards, but were actually being used by Young to build his own dream house near Chapel Hill.
Almost all the financial claims were made up by Young, who had received blanket immunity (and got to keep that money, his book deals, movie advance, etc.). Many of the salacious claims were by Young without concurrence. The Federal prosecutor immediately ran for Congress and won.
The press almost ignored the verdict and the story of what really happened. Most of the online articles focused on the indictments, with many (including some wikis) never updated with the verdict. Most people still think he was found guilty.

(37,428 posts)You maaaaaaaay be right about a plan in which his handlers urge these admissions...but seriously, just wait a while and Trump will flip-flop on just about any subject. He can't remember what lies or truths he's told, and can't ever just shut up.
