Bill Kristol: "We can do better than Trump" in 2020

For now, Republicans trying to work with Trump can honestly say,
"He's president. It's a fact. We've got to accept it and make the best of it."
But whom the Republican Party nominates in 2020 is a choice to be made, not a fate to be accepted. And we can do better than Trump.

They chose not to. That says it all, as far as I am concerned.

All the toxicity and fanaticism Trump has unleashed among the Republicans, what kind of candidate could possibly follow in his footsteps?

Would today's Republicans be okay with voting for an uncharismatic GWB? For a moderate McCain? For boring robot Romney?

And yeah Bill, they could have realized for eight years that Obama was President, it was a fact, and they could have worked with him too. But, they chose to fight him every inch of the way. McConnell even said they would not vote for any legislation Obama wanted to pass and would do their best to make him a one term President. Obama accomplished a great deal for the American public, and could have done much more without total resistance from the Party of NO.

For the last 15 months with their own man in charge and complete control of the Federal Government, they have accomplished nothing, other than the give away of the future of America with their Tax Reform Bill. The Republicans have proven over and over again, they cannot govern this Country. They can only assist the already wealthy to get wealthier.
