Iranian President Hassan Rouhani ripped into President Trump on Wednesday following his recent comments on the nuclear deal, saying Trump is a businessman who has no experience with politics or international affairs.
"They say that with the certain leader of a European country we want to make a decision about a seven-sided agreement," Rouhani said in an address on state television, according to Reuters. "For what? With what right?"
He went on to change his focus to Trump and his previous experience in real estate.
"You don't have any background in politics. You don't have any background in law. You don't have any background on international treaties," he said, according to the news agency. "How can a tradesman, a merchant, a building constructor, a tower constructor make judgments about international affairs.

(82,849 posts)The question is, why doesn't our domestic media know that the treaty with Iran isn't just some routine business deal that Lord Littlehands has gotten dissatisfied with? This is an international treaty signed and ratified by seven different sovereign nations. Trump doesn't get to say unilaterally it's got to be renegotiated.
Our media folks know this (or should know it). But none of them seem interested in providing this information when they report on Trump's latest twitter tantrum.
