(24,368 posts)trying to reinvent themselves now that that realize trump is a disaster. I'll listen to political advice from a third grader before I'll listen to someone who didn't see this coming the day Trump came down the escalator.
I knew this clown (Trump) was an crook the first time I heard him speak in the early 70s.

(11,580 posts)I had ZERO expectation that he would make it past the first few states in the primaries. I had less than zero expectation that he would beat HRC in the general.

(14,588 posts)I didn't think he would definitely win the nomination, but I told people he was mo joke, and absolutely was a real threat to win the nomination, because he was what the Republican Party had become.
I didn't think he would beat Hillary, but again I told people if it came down to him and her the country was stupid enough to make him POTUS.

(14,249 posts)And people just kept laughing ...
One of the things I kept telling people is that I thought Hillary had no idea how to run against him - and that was in no way a criticism of or a knock against her. In fact, NO ONE would have known how to run against him since every other candidate was a normal human being who would have trouble running against a man with no morals, no boundaries and no logic. Politics and campaigns are all about rules, so how do you get traction against someone who completely ignores - and actually blows right past - all rules? It's nearly impossible.
And, despite this, Hillary figured out how to beat him, did an amazing job and got 3 million more votes than he did. The problem was that she also had to beat Russia, Comey and a bunch of voter suppressors.

If tRump goes and we end up with Pence, or any other GOP gouhl, they will get right back onboard the good ship granny starver. They are NOT our friends.

(24,368 posts)this is all happening because Nixon didn't die in prison. I'm tired of people in positions of authority from politicians to cops committing crimes and merely losing their jobs. And their colleagues who saw the crime being committed and didn't say anything having nothing happen to them. This is especially true with law enforcement.

(24,368 posts)And that was wrong. But if you think they spread republican hate and lied and agreed to it like they did over at Fox, there's no point in having any further conversation with you. We'll have to agree to disagree.

(37,748 posts)You call it Free Airtime. I call it a direct result of ratings-based news content... a standard business model which has merely exploited fractured demographics.
No, not free air-time at all, but rather, profitable air-time resulting in happy share-holders. Don't ignore the forest by focusing on one tree only. It's a big forest.

(1,325 posts)I won't give any neo-con PNAC asshole any quarter. Just because he's anti-Trump does not make him my friend. MSNBC should be ashamed to even let this heartless prick on their set. May his toes find sharp corners in the dark the rest of his miserable limping life!

but why someone would have a problem with just speaking out against the person they claim to oppose also is weird.
politics isn't a religion but too many times people treat it like it is.

(65,186 posts)They use faulty reasoning but at least try to reason. That type of conservative usually dislikes the Trump type. While I will take his anti-Trump stuff, he's definitely not a friend to us.
