Could someone tell me why a lying, race-bating crumb like Alex Castellanos gets panel time on ABC?

This whole episode of This Week today looked like Stephanopoulos lost a bet with Rupert Murdoch but Alex Castellanos just had carte blanche to spread any bullshit he wanted.
