(2,787 posts)Sadly if this stuff goes through we probably wont be able to doing anything about it until 2020 barring a miracle coming up with a veto proof majority in the house or Senate or gaining veto proof majorities in State legislatures in every right wing state. Our best bet right now to stop some of this stuff is the court system.

(2,787 posts)be able to reverse it until 2020 cause Trump will still be President. Which means people in Ky,Ind,Arkansas and maybe Michigan etc. will be screwed We need to try and win this battle in courts first so it never happens.

(2,787 posts)also the work requirements on snap in 96 did not go into effect for another 20 years. They plan to ad work requirements to medicaid almost immediately. There have never been work requirements on medicaid. Also in 96 those work requirements went through congress. This time their trying to do it by the executive branch of the federal government granting waivers to states.

(21,278 posts)Never lived paycheck to paycheck. Or had to skip seeing a doctor because he didnt have healthcare. Or near the end of the month eating one meal a day.
