Mitt Romney said the American press has been too focused on his overseas stumbles, despite criticism from British and Palestinian leaders over various comments he made on his trip abroad.
I realize that there will be some in the Fourth Estate, or whichever estate, who are far more interested in finding something to write about that is unrelated to the economy, to geopolitics, to the threat of war, to the reality of conflict in Afghanistan today, to a nuclearization of Iran, Romney told FOX News on Tuesday. Theyll instead try and find anything else to divert from the fact that these last four years have been tough years for our country.

Q: "How do you size up the trip?" A: "Well, he (Romney) shouldn't have gone."

Well it hardly was a "kiss me quick" mini grand tour.
Mitt Romney and crew bringing that good ole American charm to the old world.
If only they were not so misunderstood, you know all the insults they have dished out were only meant as helpful criticism. If your culture isn't good enough, "buck up" and get with Mitt, he will show you how it's done. Not ready for the Olympics? Just take Romney's sound advice. Want to rekindle a cold war? Get with Mitt.
Details? You cant handle the details! Shove it!
So now we can all conclude, within perfect reason, the fuck up was caused by...
Wait for it...
The media.
Yep, the reason why Romney and his crew cannot explain why they are saying what they are saying?
The media.
The reason why their insults are so misunderstood?
The media.
The reason their explosive foreign policy is not being seen favorably abroad?
The media.
If only they wouldn't report what was actually said, but what the Romney campaign wished what was said. It's a goddamned bloody shame, that's what it is! How dare they write down what is said, if only we had allowed them into the "no press" zones, then they would have been able to write about what we really meant.
Sniff.
It's always the same, when wingnuts (and Romney is now officially a wingnut) say what they mean it's the evil media that reports exactly what they said; talk about satanic writes (sic).
Bloody media, always reporting and stuff.
Well the US media better pucker up and start reporting what should have been said, rather than what was actually said.

Willard blames the media, WaPo blames Willard's lack of staff. Anyone out there want to blame Obama? Maybe it's Rick Santorum's fault?

(60,349 posts)I think we have learned that he just blames someone else for everything he does that does not go well.
It's always someone else's fault.
These trips are supposed to give the American people an idea of how they will handle themselves

(26,219 posts)If it went well, take credit for it. If it didn't, blame everyone within shouting distance. Just like the "jobs he created at Bain" while he "wasn't at Bain and not responsible for their actions".
Its the Mittiot way.

(14,177 posts)That the media is makin chit up? Cause, that's the only way it's the media's fault. Besides, it is an understatement to say what he did was make a lot of gaffes. A gaffe would be not bowing down far enough in Japan, because while you know you have to do that, you might not know how far for this particular leader. No, Romney did things that 99.9% of the people in the world wouldn't do. Romney did things that even Republicans are stymied on. Romney did things so bad that Republicans don't want to talk about how bad he did. Instead they have gone to their default position and started the birther crap and are screaming louder about his college transcripts. They are amping up the lies as well. It is all they have divert to Obama and ignore what the animal abuser does.

(24,450 posts)From the party that continues to screech about "personal responsibility" and about President Obama blaming Republicans for the economy despite all of the very real roadblocks they have thrown up against him trying to help fix it? I wish I could say this is unbelieveable but it isnt.

Mitt Romney is NOT representative of Americans or their "charm"...He really,
in my honest opinion is not representative of ANY other person I've ever seen
either personally, or in the public arena and yes, I've traveled a lot and
met many people from many different cultures.
I honestly think there is something "different" about Mitt on a personal
level...something beyond "elitism" and "mormonism"....Even Dubya,
dumb as he was, seemed more "human" and "connected" than Romney.
Someone called into the Ed show recently, identified herself as
having worked for years in the Mental Health Field and said she felt he
radiated something along the autism spectrum. I don't know, as I'm
not a professional in the mental health field.

He's cracking..& cracking bad now.
He's been used to getting his way & his ass kissed this whole time up to this point, & just can't handle it when things don't go his way.
Keep the pressure up on him & he'll lash out & everyone will see him for the true sociopath (& possible psychopath) he is.
