I understand that India was hit by a huge power outage, larger than the one before 600 to 800 million people without power. I don't believe I heard any coverage of this event. This isn't the first time India was without power to some of their grid.
Doesn't this have an effect on U.S. companies that outsourced jobs over there. One can't do business without power.
Seems to me this lends credence for the U.S. to upgrade its infrastructure and power grids and keep jobs here in this country as these countries where labor is cheaper are at risk for failures to their systems.
You get what you pay for and it might at first be cheaper to run a business from a country like India - in the long run it costs one more money because they just aren't equipped to handle it.

(15,064 posts)If it impacts fascist corporations negatively they get what they deserve. It also means that the 1% living and visiting India
will be impacted. But, they may have expensive generators for their mansions and hotels. I just hope the hospitals have back up energy generators.
