https://www.politicususa.com/2018/04/18/scott-pruitt-resign-resoluton.html170 members of Congress in both the House and Senate have introduced resolutions calling on EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt to immediately resign.
resolution at link~
Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) said, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitts conduct in office is a disgrace. He no longer holds the confidence of the American people, and his actions are examples of why many distrust the federal government. The EPAs mission is to protect human health and the environment. Mr. Pruitts gross misjudgment and poor leadership of the Agency undermines that work, and I believe he must resign immediately.
Sen. Tom Udall (D-NM) said, This historic resolution sends an unequivocal message to the administration: the American public has lost faith in Scott Pruitt, and its time for him to go, Udall said. During his time in office, Pruitt has waged all-out war on the bedrock protections that keep our air and water clean, prevent toxic chemicals from contaminating our communities, and safeguard the health of our kids and families. He has done lasting damage to public health and safety gutting the EPAs core mission all to benefit his campaign donors and grease the wheels for his big polluter friends. And at the same time, Pruitt has completely violated the trust of the American people and the standards of his office, with a list of ethical transgressions that grows longer by the day. Pruitt is administrator of the EPA, but hes behaving like the emperor of the swamp. His imperial tenure needs to end.
The office of Sen. Udall said that 131 representatives and 39 senators had come together to co-sponsor the resolution. Scott Pruitt is hanging on only because Trump likes him. What Trump doesnt see is that Pruitt is a political liability, and the longer he keeps him around, the more it hurts the entire Republican Party.
If Trump and Pruitt think things are bad now, if Democrats take back control of Congress, they will not have seen anything compared to what is coming their way.

The peasants are complaining about the Sheriff of Nottingham when the real problem is Prince John.

Today it hit. The Russians.
We will find there is a connection, I bet. Pruitt is too damn cocky and Trump has signaled he will back Pruitt.
Yet Trump shit canned other hires for much less.

(14,167 posts)4. Yep. I've been thinking about why Trump avoids the WH and goes to Mar-a-Looney
all the time.
The Russians probably have the WH bugged and are watching Trump's every move. Trump probably has a bit more privacy at Mar-a-Looney and less surveillance.

Too many government, civil service and military eyes on Trump at the White House.
At Mara Lago which he owns, hes free to bring in whomever he wants, leave behind staff he doesnt want in the middle of his Russia stuff, and communicate to Putin via intermediaries down in Florida.
Total bullshit we have to find his trips there. Worse than how I felt about Bush hanging out in Crawford, Tx all the time.
