(17,009 posts)1. Kamala Harris has been maligned because....
...millionaires.
This will surely disqualify de Leon because....billionaire.
If there are no double standards, of course.

(5,272 posts)4. not disqualified any more than Feinstein, but certainly not my favorite look. I might vote for
him over Feinstein once I do research into everything about him because of course no race comes down to a strawman about anybody being purists...it comes down to the best you can get according to your values between your current options. I'm certainly not saying he is a better choice than Feinstein at this point. I don't know yet. But my primary vote isn't likely to go for either of them, since there's another person in the race, Alison Hartson, running on small donor financing.

(11,330 posts)3. So another reformer with no actual ability to reform...
wasting votes and energy on something insignificant when we have an existential threat.
Health care: The only big issue Feinstein and De León disagree on is health care. While De León is a proponent of Sanders Medicare for All plan, Feinstein argues the plan has no real funding mechanism and instead wants to improve Obamacare by increasing funding and accessibility.
They want visionary thinkers who can imagine but not govern or legislate.
