Really bizarre 'out-of-touch' rMoney story. True?

http://patriotboy.blogspot.com/2012/07/give-barrista-tip-and-hell-feed-his.html

The man was out of touch...

...only they didn't know just how out of touch he was until later.

Romney spent some time in the coffee shop as his wife browsed through books before they were called to leave.

On their way out, Ann throws away her half-consumed hot chocolate, but Mitt approaches the counter. "I know you guys can't sell this again, but I was wondering if one of you guys wanted the rest of my hot chocolate."

"No thanks," one of the other baristas told him, wondering if this was some sort of bizarre joke.

"I don't want to waste it, there's still plenty left, it's still perfectly good..."

If we don't want them making up stuff about our guy we shouldn't have a double standard.

...but it certainly sounds like something Romney would do, right? I have absolutely no trouble believing he did this.

This is kind of trickle-down economics on a tiny scale - rich guy buys a bit more hot chocolate than he needs, and so he offers the rest to some common folks, so everybody wins, right? So don't tax the uber-wealthy, or there will be less secondhand hot chocolate for you!

(Aside: I was friends with a Mormon in high school, and her family didn't eat chocolate, because of the small amount of caffeine - was that just her family, or do lots of Mormons avoid chocolate?)

I also don't see Ann bussing her own table, that's what the help is for.
