In doing so, it helps to further diffuse Trump's nonsense about attorney-client privilege being compromised as that very issue is being taken up in open court Monday to make sure attorney-client privilege is not compromised. It could be embarrassing for Cohen because he has so few clients and did so little actual legal work - according to the emails they already read via a prior warrant.

As well, it is hard for him to lie because they have nearly all the evidence already.

He's also in a real pickle: if he asserts attorney-client privilege on various issues (like Stormy Daniels) then he lied as he would now be claiming Trump knew about it. So he potentially incriminates Trump on those issues as Trump must know about them. If he doesn't assert attorney-client privilege on issues, then all the evidence they collected on particular issues is legit - which could still implicate both of them.

Talk about being between a rock and a hard place ... looks good on him
