Have been searching for this clip for quite awhile, and think it explains trumps speaking nuances perfectly!
***As far as his (Scott Adams) political affiliation, this op was merely insight into the speech pattern of trump, not insight into anything else.....

(1,832 posts)Lots of the art I like, is made by people with weird ideas. One of the best old Danish authors is Martin Andersen Nexø. He liked Stalin, but wrote books full of softness, forgiveness and heart. Well - Nexø is on a whole other level than the joke writer Scott Adams, but I still enjoy Dilbert.

(109,021 posts)That is the context of whatever his views are about Trump's speech pattern. He encouraged people to vote for the monster.

(50,011 posts)But he's sort of right about Trump's delivery. He was playing to his crowd and it worked.
Of course, now trump is raving lunatic in over his head.

(37,648 posts)His nicknames for people have the opposite effect on me.
So I'm not buying into this as persuasion. I think it's more getting his supporters more revved up. Slogans are easy to say and chant. But a slogan, like Lyin' Comey, wouldn't work on people who are digesting what's in his book, are objective, etc. Only the deplorables, who are already on board and are not terribly bright, fall for that. I recognized what they were: easy to say slogans to get his supporters revved up. Not persuasion, though.
