Pence will be pResident if tRump resigns... Pence can then pardon all of the Cult 45 Minions, including tRump..
So, now what?

(25,294 posts)halls Pence into this investigation. Pence aided and abetted Trump & the Repugs and is as dirty as all of them.
That will be when Trump will realize his lifeboat has a big hole in it and his last hope to survive his mess is sunk.

(1,009 posts)he would pardon them. Pence seems like the kind of guy who would turn on them on a dime. If he had to step up as president, I don't think he has the stomach to deal with the never ending attacks on him through the rest of his term that he pardoned a bunch of criminals.
I just hope we win midterms to keep him in check if he does become president.

(3,181 posts)I want the respect for our institutions to be restored. Pence would be more willing to do so than Trump.

(37,748 posts)If your scenario plays out as is, my guess is the GOP house and senate reduces itself to another post-Nixon style exile. What specifically happens to the current persona dramatris is almost moot in that regard.
However, I don't see Trump going anywhere... he'll stay put and continue hurting the GOP brand even worse than it would be if he left before 2020.
But, like all prophecies, ours are merely guesses. If you want actual insight, I'd suggest The Final Days by Bob Woodward, or The Last Crisis of Richard Nixon by Stanley Kutler
