Does the U.S. have an extradition treaty with Peru?

Ivanka claims it's because she "plans to unveil a new economic empowerment program for women of that region, though she would not give any specifics about the program or its funding."

Jared, Ivanka heading to Peru amid White House drama

Where in the world are Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner?

The pair of White House aides and family members of the president has been largely absent from the news during a hectic period at the White House. But the two are heading to Lima, Peru this week for the Summit of the Americas: a two-day gathering for heads of state from the Western hemisphere that occurs every three years, Ivanka Trump told reporters Wednesday.

plans to unveil a new economic empowerment program for women of that region, though she would not give any specifics about the program or its funding.

“I'm extremely excited for my visit and look forward to highlighting the important work that the U.S. government and this administration are doing to empower women economically in the region and elsewhere around the globe,” she said.

But they could go to any of these places, which do not have extradition treaties:

Afghanistan, Algeria, Andorra, Angola, Armenia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Brunei, Burkina Faso, Burma, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, the Central
African Republic, Chad, Mainland China, Comoros, Congo (Kinshasa), Congo (Brazzaville), Djibouti, Equatorial
Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Kazakhstan,
Kosovo, Kuwait, Laos, Lebanon, Libya, Macedonia, Madagascar, Maldives, Mali, Marshall Islands,
Mauritania, Micronesia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal,
Niger, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Samoa, São Tomé & Príncipe, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia,
Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu,
Vatican, Vietnam and Yemen.

Unfortunately, most of these countries are not posh and swanky enough for the Kushners (except for Bahrain, which is very rich; it might do).

A new treaty went into effect in 8/2003, replacing the 104 year old one.

Pence is supposed to be attending the Summit, since Trump just decided not to go himself.

Ms Trump's condescension is nausea-inducing.
