(19,204 posts)if Hillary were elected.
I'll always wonder how well the country would be doing right now if the actual winner had been allowed to take office. Instead, we have an orange colored pile of feces, devoid of brains, ethics, and morals.

(14,202 posts).... then she too can get her hands filthy and dirty. But still not as bad as "The Donald's".
Too goodie goody - she should be down right ashamed and embarrassed about that.
Is she trying to set an example for her grandchildren ? How could one be more selfish is that ?

(37,011 posts)Sarah Huck had some message before the election about being investigated by the FBI.
She doesn't seem to be repeating it now that it's the Donald.
Maybe it was Kellyanne.

(95 posts)Yeah, well, let's get rational here.
Not that I'm proud of it, but I was betting against Hillary from way before any primaries. [Not that I was opposed to her. I wanted her to win, but I understood that she was going down.] I won all the
bets. When she was nominated, I made bets that whoever was elected would be impeached.
Attn y'all: I plan to collect on this one.
We Democrats have a problem coming up with candidates. [It wasn't her. It was that the Repugs had been afraid of her and therefore campaigning against her for decades.]
We need to grow up and get serious.
Even at this date I see no Democratic challenger emerging. Perhaps if we sweep the Congressional elections this fall, a new leader may emerge. But the problem in the Party is, we're not Authoritarian Fascists, so we still rebel against any apparent usurpation. [Like the rigging of the nominations back last time.]
I was an actor in the McGovern takeover of the Party. [helped]
We all know what happened then...
But that's what the Repugs do. They are so much more organized...
I once considered running for office. I consulted with election professionals. What they told me made me decide, no, I can do better elsewhere. Not into blood sports.

(37,748 posts)We don't have a problem with candidate. We have a problem with a fictional narrative created by the right-wing that we have a problem with candidates.
And you appear to be contributing to that fictional narrative with your 'concern' and allegations of primary rigging.

(95 posts)We lost the millennials because it appeared that Bernie was pushed out. It's lots about appearances, and many I talked to aged 18 to 30 thought that Bernie was unfairly dissed by the Party apparatus. I tried to explain that there IS NO Party Apparatus, but they were pissed. Not willing to listen.
They're not quite ready to accept that we fight it out in the primaries and then we fall in line in the general.
Surely you can admit that nominating a candidate the opposition has been slandering for decades wasn't quite the best move?
So what did I say that was fictional?

(21,711 posts)It would have been so much easier for her to sell out and remain a Goldwater Girl or some other RW whatnot.
But she didn't. She was 18, chose to fight the good fight, and after 50+ years - and mountains of public abuse - is still doing so.
Unlike Cheeto, his gang, and most of today's treasonous GOP, she can walk with her head held high.

(2,050 posts)Imagine where we would/could be right now with her at the helm.
Putin admitted he was afraid of her, there's a reason for that, he may have not made it to the last farce of an election he fixed.
She's said she won't run again but imagine the world we could have if she would be able to take over the presidency after dumpf is gone, she'd have six plus years to put us back on the right track again.
Imagine Hillary as president and Barrack as Vice President or Mr Schiff in the lead with Hillary backing him up.
Damn that sounds good, one can always dream.......
