Been watching the original series of The West Wing on Netflix

which I did follow when it was first on TV 15-20 years ago.

All I can say is that Republicans have been destroying this country since Nixon. Reagan was a disaster. Bush II was pathetic. But this orange traitorous con man that is now occupying the Oval Office? We are in serious trouble for one, allowing him to take office, and two, for not removing him from office immediately.

Republicans have no morals. All they care about is MONEY! They have no sense of community or social justice or the idea that government exists to benefit the greater good.

I have no desire to have any kind of relationship with someone who identifies as Republican and a supporter of 45.

support they would otherwise not have.

You cant be a republican and reasonable. Reasonable doesn't eliminate estate tax when estate tax was a crucial part of how we built our country. Reasonable doesn't drastically cut taxes on the wealthy while slowly raising them on everyone else.

4. No. It's amazingly prescient. Great stories, acting, dialogue.

I watch anywhere from 1-2 episodes/day (I'm retired): one while I eat lunch and sometimes one while I eat dinner.

I have the series on DVD. There are times my mind feels as if it's coated in Cheeto dust; out of the rack comes West Wing, Episode 1

6. It's really only dated in terms of the things that have changed for the better since.

Marriage equality, for example. And LGBT people having the right to serve openly in the military.

There are some amusing technological differences. Flip-phones with extendible antennae, huge cathode-ray computer monitors, the speed at which events make the news:

"When does the story break?"

"Tomorrow. It's on the internet right now."

Still a marvelous series. At least the first four seasons, written largely by Aaron Sorkin. I'm re-watching myself right now. For probably the fiftieth time.
