Scary weather here in Okla.

108 degrees yesterday and today. Hot wind blowing out of the west. Grass is gone. We have a Mini horse due to give birth any day now. Hate to see it born in this heat and on dead grass or dry dirt. Makes me think of more like living in the Great American Southwest desert.

Storm cellar or basement would be much cooler temp-wise. GreenPartyVoter Jul 2012 #2

put some straw down, surely there must be some shady spot. You can't expect this mare to foal in the dirt in 108 degrees of heat?

Yesterday morning she laid in the shade of an elm tree and acted like she wanted to give birth, but finally came and ate her feed.

She is back to normal this morn. I am keeping a close eye on her.

Republicans are to blame for this...and the inaction on it.
