I missed a lot of the interview. Which President was it that she chastised for calling her by her first name? Trump?

hero. I just wanted know which President it was that disrespected her.

But Trump wouldn't know who she is. He'd probably call her Coretta.

My encounter with President Trump reminded me of the Jim Crow era, and made me feel disrespected rather than appreciated.
snip:
On Dec. 9, the president visited that museum and afterward, he addressed me by my first name, instead of Mrs. Evers.
That moment disturbed me since I had not given him permission to call me by my first name. My husband and so many others spent their lives fighting for the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

Her personal story is inspiring, but she is also a very dignified, poised and gracious woman, a combination that makes her a powerful speaker. I was startled when she said she was 85! She's a very beautiful lady and looks much, much younger... me and my wrinkles are so envious!
