(10,847 posts)Just listened to Rachael Maddow map out the crooked path that Pruitt walked between the trip to Morocco with his staff and huge security team, first class flights back and forth, a 2-night stay in Paris, so he could go to Morocco and pitch the sale of American liquified gas to several prospective buyers.
Not only does this have nothing to do with his cabinet position at the EPA but the house in which he rented that $50 room in DC was owned by a lobbyist for the only (at the time) American company involved in exporting LNG (Cheniere) and no other than Carl Ichan is heavily invested in the industry.
What a coinky-dink!
Another interesting factoid: Pruitt needed to meet with Ichan before the Trumpster would officially nominate the man for the EPA spot. Guess he passed whatever interview/deal Ichan demanded with flying colors.
Conflict(s) of interest anyone?
This is all in addition to fleecing the taxpayer for Pruitt's $40,000 privacy booth and the 6-figure raises handed out to favorite staff, the money taken from Clean Water funds. Pruitt denies any knowledge of the raises, even though he signed off on them.
You cannot make this stuff up.
Pruitt is the freaking swamp, cesspool and garbage dump all rolled into one.
No wonder the Trumpster loves him.
Incredible.
I'll say it again: if any Democrat tried pulling this shit? They would have been strung up like Christmas lights on the White House lawn.
In Trumplandia? Nada.

(6,916 posts)Rand, who are your donors? What American oligarchs have spent money on your campaigns, through direct donations, PACs, or just dark money advertising?

(42,658 posts)The same corporate interest that have destroyed the environment in China and India for cheap goods is slowly pealing away our regulations here.
This is what we're fighting.

(1,798 posts)Goal is the same as the Koch Brothers...What is that? It is the goal to take this country back to the 18th century.
He thinks we shouldn't enforce environmental regulations
He thinks we should allow corporations to pollute and destroy our environment
He thinks the avg guy on the street doesn't deserve clean air, water or food.
This is what we're fighting...
The swamp in his mind is everything we have advanced in the 20th century!

His entire agenda is based on allowing the rich to totally screw this country over.
