3. Common sense would tell you that someone like this should not be allowed to run for a government job

Not just a felon, but the type of crime he committed should exclude him from consideration. I just don't get how we let our laws become some perverse as to allow this.

Years ago - Wanting everyone to have healthcare made one “far left”
Today - Saying school shootings are bad will mean you are “far left”
Tomorrow? - Not wanting to throw virgins into volcanoes to appease the job creators and Dow will mean you are “far left”
