Nick Ackerman and another lawyer whose name I never caught were just on with Chris Hayes. In talking about Trump being-a-subject vs being-atarget, vs being-just-sumgai. They both said there are only two ways to oust a president:
2. 25th Amendment.
Further, there is zero impediment to charging, arresting, trying, and imprisoning a president. The guy with Ackerman quipped the thread title. He chuckled. But he was serious.
I have no clue about any of this but it sure sounds good to me.

Very funny guy with a way with words after my own heart.

(60,010 posts)He and his older kids should be kept in a traveling cage, like they used to do with circus lions, etc.,
trundling all across the country, back and forth, paraded along city streets, for the people to see.
Like the Walk of Shame in Game of Thrones.
With mothers pointing out to their kids, telling what happens to people who lie and cheat and steal and harm others.
Might be content to let it be an annual event as opposed to a perpetual trek.
Maybe.

(22,628 posts)and removing Trump from office by the 25th Amendment is a fantasy of the Left.
Unless it is in another dimension, I don't see Trump ever going to prison any more than Bush and Cheney were going to be frog-marched to The Hague.
For those who would prefer a President Pence, that would be like going from the pot into the fire.
