Dear Parkland Parents: Its Time For You To Step In
Where are Parkland parents during all of this?
redstate.com
The NRA and their minions are terrified of these young people. If we can keep the pressure on our Representatives, we might actually see something happen this time.
Hortensis
(58,785 posts)their kids to demonstrations and serving as volunteers for large events.
Arkansas Granny
(31,538 posts)if she thinks it's so easy to make them sit down and shut up about something they believe in so strongly.
Hortensis
(58,785 posts)sure of that. It's likely, though, that some kids did obey orders from, for instance, some strongly conservative parents to not be involved.
This is Josh Marshall quoting Kim Ross at RedState.com.

(132 posts)When a group of youngsters start a crusade that makes their parents, their school, city, state and country vaingloriously proud of them, do you think any cranky ammosexual complaint about parental control -- as if those kids were running amock during Spring Break at Fort Lauderdale -- will have any effect?
Only within the Republican echo chamber, of course, as it desperately tries to crank up some kind of defence, or misdirection to cover the seriously exposed nether cheeks of the NRA, its supporters and enablers.

(25,925 posts)as I've always been, as wonderful as they are, they have never done anything this amazing.
I can only try to imagine what the parents of those who died at Parkland, and at every other school shooting is thinking. I would be weeping that my own child is not still alive, and immensely grateful for what these survivors are doing.

(1,294 posts)And for defamation against all of these lying and name calling conservative he outlets. Just never stop punching back at these fucking conservative hate mongers.
Arkansas Granny
(31,538 posts)because no one ever walked into their school with a high powered rifle and started shooting. I cant even imagine the terror those students felt that day and the experience will follow them through life.
The fact that they have had shooting drills at my 8 yo great granddaughters school just makes me sick to think about it.
PoindexterOglethorpe
(25,925 posts)Although, someone did once bring a gun to their school and held a classmate of my younger son hostage in a boys room for several hours. It ended without shooting and the kid was expelled.

(8,854 posts)I'm stunned when people have the audacity to describe these kids as entitled. What exactly do these people resent them for feeling entitled to? The right to not get blown away at school? Yeah, a bunch of entitled, bratty snowflakes for wanting that.
Farmer-Rick
(10,225 posts)The NRA types forget that these kids have gone thru a horrific experience where they saw friends and loved ones die in front of them while fearing for their lives hiding from one of those NRA types.
Do you think their parents aren't in just as much pain? Some of their parents lost children in that horrific event too. God these NRA tyes are just so totally out of touch.
