Prominent Conservative website blast Republicans worse than any Liberal could

Perspective is everything. Even as Republicans have failed to repeal Obamacare, most Progressives see Republicans as effective in stymieing any Liberal policy success. This former Heritage Foundation website does not think so. And they unloaded on Republicans for what they perceive as a Conservative failure and a premature acceptance of defeat in a Blue Wave in 2018.

Conservative Townhall.com Laura Hollis did not mince her words as she excoriated Republicans for their failure to produce on just about every one of their issues. I had to do a double take when the article appeared in my newsfeed.

The rest of them are starting to figure that out. They were duped into supporting this orange monster who campaigned on his promises to screw them. Nobody was listening. Critical thinking is our friend!

The billionaires and Big Business got what they wanted. I can't believe the fools on the right if they think Trump, Bush, Rayguns, the RNC etc have ever had any other goals in mind but those!

How damn blind and stupid can people be!

****ing idiots!

crazy, cruel or creepy enough to earn her seal of approval. She's taking at little poke at her fellow Republicans for not doing more bullying and flipping off the media more, hardly topics of Liberal angst. She seems particularly incensed because Republicans passed a mega trillion dollar spending bill that was longer than a couple of large print, double spaced pages including some photoshopped images.

She calling out Republicans for being Republicans, as if everyone didn't already know that they are good with catchy slogans, but suck at actual governing.

3. The very first paragraph of Hollis rant:
Sun Apr 1, 2018, 01:32 PM
Apr 2018
Well before Donald Trump threw his hat into the ring for the 2016 election, many of us had been warning Republicans that the conservative electorate was fed up with their weakness on key issues, constant capitulation to the left, and timidity in the face of the relentless onslaught by a deeply deceptive and hopelessly partisan media.

And then the last three:

What an embarrassment. When Democrats control Congress, Democratic policies win the day. When Republicans control Congress, Democratic policies win the day.

Republicans continue to tell themselves the "centrist" myth that they will win friends (and elections) if they just compromise with Democrats. Nothing could be further from the truth. Liberals and progressives may be secretly grateful for the GOP's capitulation, but they'll publicly denounce Republicans as much as ever. And now the GOP's own voters will despise them, too.

If Republicans lose either house of Congress in November, it will be not only because Democratic voters are motivated enough to vote, but because Republican voters are disgusted enough not to.

Getting back to your own page on the subject, I do have to agree with you that her criticisms are worse, but since her argument is that the problem with congressional Republicans is that they are slackers and backsliders who need to smoke even more conservo-crack...

Well, while I agree with your own conclusion that we have to work hard because a Blue Wave is not necessarily a shoe-in, I do have to point out you could have expressed more of an opinion than “I do not necessarily agree with Laura. ”

Not that I’m expecting a reply for having given your site a click or anything.

Well, except for two things:
1. Antiquated social standards, most based on white male supremacy over women and people of color.
2. Their own access to power and wealth, regardless of the cost to everyone else.
