2. There's already been a long, ugly thread about this.

Nothing wrong with duplicate threads in GD, of course, but that one turned into an ugly mess.

I'm not one who'll sing the praises of a person in death that I hated in life.

5. Come on people. A man who probably has a nice family is dead. Don't rejoice over that.

Sure he worked for a corporation with bigoted views. But he still has a wife, kids, probably grandchildren who all loved him and are in mourning right now. Can we refrain from dancing on his grave just because we disagree with his opinion?

If not, then I guess it'll be okay for some right-winger to dance on our graves just because they don't agree with our opinion.

Let's not start down that slippery slope that could turn us into a Westboro-like group.

and probably spread the same bigoted views to his wife, kids and extended family at every opportunity. You do not work for a company, climb the corporate ladder and not have the same views.

I have about as much feeling for his death as he would for mine, none. I would rather piss on someones grave because they were close minded bigots than I would for someone that espoused equality for all.

It's not a slippery slope at all.

Have you got your "God hates Chik-Fil-A" sign painted so you can picket his funeral?

all I stated was: You cannot work blindly in a corporation that denies equality and then expect to be granted a good guy status because you have a wife and kids.

You live what you want, your kids learn what they live. He was either living a dual life (gee, kinda like being in the closet), or he went along with the good old boy network. Your call.

10. The 'corporation' does not deny equality. The owner of the company does.

I work for a large corporation. I have no idea what the CEO or other executives' personal views are.

I don't care, either.

While it doesn't say "I hate" this man surely would put in a reasonable person's mind a question of just what your feelings truly are if not hate. Pissing on someone's grave doesn't leave a lot of grey area between being moderately offended and so to dislike someone and downright loathing them.

Just saying.

It's my knee-jerk reaction to those who believe their every thought is inspired by a deity while everyone else is not so divinely inspired.
