...and told me about a last minute change in the program for the Olympics opening ceremony.
Apparently a large show was made of the NHS and Britain's universal health-care for the benefit of certain Americans in attendance.
I gotta run out to live life for a bit. Hopefully someone here will find a link.

(84,711 posts)in the middle of the program. Apparently according to the BBC Feed (I didn't see the NBC/USA Feed) but, according to BBC, these are REAL Doctors and Nurses who participated...not actors or volunteers.
It was a salute by the British to their NHS and I don't know what the US Media did with it...but, the British TV had no problem with it.
