I'm sorry, but that was a terrible opening ceremony.

It left me feeling cold and antagonized. The portrayal of "the leaders of industry" was disgusting. No acknowledgment of WWII. I kept thinking that it would wrap up with a recognition that society has evolved and that we need to rectify the sins of our past. Instead they were glorifying the model of rich white male supremacy over the workers.

A very disturbing show. How 19th century can you get?

Or some other snack food that comforts you. I understand, top hats are challenging for some people. Personally I find a midnight snack in the face of such challenging things makes them seem more manageable.
