Most of them don't know the technology to unblock a station. I blocked Fox business on my Dish satellite recently and the Christian channels.

(3,859 posts)They won't notice that they aren't getting a dose of RW propaganda anymore as they flip through the channels.
In my own house, we rarely watch any TV, and then 95% of the time it is on MSNBC. DU is so much more entertaining than what you find on cable these days...

(4,452 posts)They are individual channel filters. They attenuate the individual channel without affecting the others. I used to use them on CATV systems in schools and we would use a channel modulator to insert local programming or fixed media distribution. Here's one supplier.

(2,307 posts)I blocked, non HD with a HD channel, shopping, music, FOX, Christian, those not subscribed to and many others which I never watch. My total available channels went from 682 to 125. Saves a lot of time when surfing.
Charter only allowed me to set up favorites, at&t allows to remove the channel although you can still directly key it in. Parental block works well since it takes a password.
Even if they know how to program their system it will take some time to figure out the password, have to do a complete system reset to manufactures settings or at the least a call into the provider for help.
My question is how to get to their sets?
