Many of us will be watching them on NBC, or similar, over the next two weeks and we ask of you to please not ruin it by blaring the results before we have the chance to see it with the rest of the world.
Thank you

(46,436 posts)Whenever something is listed as "9:00 P.M. Eastern, 8:00 Central," we're always Central. So I guess that means we're delayed three hours.
(And, yes, I know what you were doing there with that response. )

(11,138 posts)I warn you though that at least one poster that I am aware of WILL post results here, in the thread title, no matter how much anyone implores upon her not to do so. I have tried reasoning with that poster before about this but it has zero effect. You might want to avoid GD at least if there are results you don't want to know about.

(2,307 posts)For me the Olympics are a disease which acts up every two years. No spoilers from me. I won't have the info to spoil with.

(16,245 posts)Personally I loathe NBC and its coverage so I won't watch. So I will keep up with the stats in real time. And Twitter will probably break everything anyway.

(28,817 posts)not even access to a live stream. but then i really don't care much at all. i missed watching the opening ceremonies and will be looking for video to watch. especially the NHS bit.
maybe people could just put spoiler alert in the OP title and those DUers who don't want to know can opt out.

It's inevitable with the tape delays.

(146,345 posts)We have members in every time zone and all around the world. There are bound to be posts with results in the title. It's OK with me, since I won't actually be watching very much. In any case, I don't care if I know the results before watching an athletic competition. I'm afraid you're going to be faced with spoilers throughout the Olympics.
