How does their right to own a war weapon outweigh my right to live?

There have been two threats against my child's high school this week, and two 15 year olds taken into police custody. 1 was found with a weapon. We CANNOT allow the NRA to dictate the safety of our children. What the hell is going on in this country? I am so scared.

We definitely need a ban. Look at how other countries have solved the problem. onecaliberal Mar 2018 #6

Like dramatically lower than the odds of simply dying in a traffic accident on the way to work.

Lots of things are rare, and if preventable or reducible, we legislate them. In fact, WE DID with numerous gun laws over the years. Gun laws have become more lax since the 1990s.

Additionally, I think there is some sickness in gun culture. I've seen Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton targets on sale at gun shows. I've seen lost of racism, rebel flags and violent rightwing bullshit as well. This is all wrapped up in the marketing of guns to protect you from harm. (Another statistically rare occurrence.)

Have you EVER seen a left-wing meme at a gun show?

Like dramatic avoidance of the question and simply answering a question no one has asked,.

Over my lifetime, I've watched the NRA become a manufacturers lobbying association and push product on the market, sow fear, and reduce regulation. I've watched these sorts of mass shootings become bloodier. For most of that, I was pro 2nd amendment. After Sandy Hook, I was out. I only wish I had destroyed my firearms (inherited) rather than sold them.
