by Lawrence Bonk | 11:00 pm, March 1st, 2018
There have been fairly constant rumors that Chief of Staff John Kelly is on his way out ever since the Rob Porter scandal broke, opening up the White House to scrutiny regarding how they handle security clearances.
Still, hes managed to persevere and keep his job with President Donald Trump. Jared Kushner and even the presidents daughter, Ivanka Trump, may not be so lucky, if a recent report by the New York Times is to be believed.
The column, penned by Maggie Haberman and Mark Landler, gets into how Trumps managerial style, dubbed chaos theory, has wreaked emotional havoc on those under his employ. With an erratic boss and little in the way of a coherent legislative agenda, they are consumed by infighting, fears of their legal exposure and an ambient sense that the White House is spinning out of control, Haberman wrote. Morale in the West Wing has sunk to a new low.
Haberman also wrote that Mr. Trumps children, meanwhile, have grown exasperated with Mr. Kelly, seeing him as a hurdle to their fathers success and as antagonistic to their continued presence.
Trump, however, may be ready to use Kelly to force the couple, nicknamed Javanka, out of the White House, citing growing concerns over Kushners legal battles.
Interestingly, the president seems to be telling his daughter and her husband one thing and Kelly, along with other members of his inner circle, something else entirely. Thats the chaos theory at work.

(20,998 posts)...it is almost assumed that there is some kind of overreaching grand plan or scheme at the center of all. THERE IS NOT. trump*s natural state is chaos, because THAT IS ALL HE KNOWS... "chaos theory" is not some type of "method to the madness," IT IS THE MADNESS. When it comes to tRump*, there are no theories, there are no plans, there are no chess games, THERE IS NO HIGHER THOUGHT, "chaos theory" or otherwise.

(20,998 posts)...he was given great wealth and privilege and substantial daddy issues by his racist, damaged father and we all get to live through his current "chaos crisis," which has been HAPPENING ALL HIS LIFE.
Each and every day, I have to hold myself back from SLAPPING THE LIVING SNOT out of "friends and family" that enabled his walking, talking pile of horseshit.
This is the essence of Putin's triumph. He succeeded in injecting an agent of chaos into American politics and it has paid off beyond his wildest dreams. America has been significantly weakened within the world community and now he feels that He and Russia are on the ascendant.
Everyone's flag should be flying upside down right now. We are in deep trouble.

(14,222 posts).... that way he can maximize the infighting and back stabbings. That way people are so busy focusing on palace intrigue they have little time to scrutinize tr-dump's short comings and fuck ups.
In fighting has an added bonus... while coworkers are clawing each others eyes out, they are simultaneously kissing up to Donald in order to curry his graces. He finds this perpetual kissing up and kissing his ass a real ego boost.
But with total disregard for how much damage and dysfunction it injects to a smooth running and well managed operations. He could give a shit less - chaos, strife, turmoil, and mayhem excites and thrills him.

(34,195 posts)I don't see Trump wanting to get rid of Ivanka.
Maybe Jared, yes.

Of course--and here's the thing--I don't think you want them gone. You'd rather Kelly gone because Kelly's the mean guy that won't let you talk to your buddies.

(3,813 posts)I really figured this was satire when I saw the headline. Chaos theory indeed.
I really wish that the media would hybridize the Ivanka-Jared names properly. She's the daughter, so clearly they need to be called Ivan-red rather than Jar-vanka.
k&r for interesting times,
