He does not care about anything or anybody than himself. Just look at his actions - they clearly explain everything.

I don't know how he survives this, day after day, lawyered up to the collarbones, living with massive debt, family upheavals, etc., plus all the flat-out lying whenever he opens his mouth. It's just bullshit, he says NOTHING of meaning or substance. He doesn't give a shit about anything or anyone but Number One.

The guy is an emotional black hole of a human being. We all know (pretty much) what his response will be to one situation or another. So, yeah, he could be an idiot, too.

Very classic narcissist behavior. The rest of us want things from the world that are inherently desirable - money, power, job satisfaction, love etc. Trump only cares about protecting his own ego. He doesn't to feel like a fuckup, he doesn't care if he actually is a fuckup. He spends some much time and effort hiding from his mistakes, he just keeps digging his hole deeper and deeper.
