Asked what to do about trump's tweet about the FBI this morning, she said "I think the best thing to do is just ignore him"

(17,876 posts)You ignore Cliff on his bar stool or Archie in his recliner. They have no power. You don't ignore the top elected official of the most powerful country in the US. His words have the weight of his office. You call upon Congress to remove him. That is their job.

(1,115 posts)Trump seems to me to be immature. First we raised our children
and did well. A problem was their friends who liked to hang out,
we had to raise them too ... they were neglected. Now it is the
grandchildren who have their friends over and are in the same boat,
neglected. These neglected kids act like Trump and they all need
more attention. He has a mental problem. He was neglected now
he is being taken advantage of.
He's bought all his comradery and will pay for it the rest of his
life (just like us). He is pretty helpless and without friends because
he discards trump (I could not pass that pun up). He dumps people
who disagree with him.

(6,916 posts)Lets follow her advice, DU.
Ignore him- or downplay him, noting him only after your note the truth. Repeating him helps him. Thats what he wants.

(1,095 posts)I think she means to ignore his tweets, not the policies that impact the lives of every American. After Sandy Hook I was in despair thinking things will never change, these young people make me hopeful.
