(25,895 posts)and I must say that the extreme baldness on the back looks like alopecia areata, an auto immune disorder that causes hair loss.
Typical male pattern baldness does not result in one half of the back of the head being hairless, but alopecia can.

(13,776 posts)"Bizarre reality of Donald Trump's hair revealed as his wispy locks are blown apart by plane engine"
And the article includes this sentence: "After a physical, his doctor announced the 71-year-old takes the hair-loss drug finasteride, which has been linked with several psychological and ejaculatory side-effects."
Which I know isn't a secret, but I haven't really seen a discussion of whether finasteride might play a part in what's going on with him. So I looked and found this:
The existence of premorbid mental health conditions among users of finasteride may expose a subset of men who possess a selective independent brain-based vulnerability to finasteride that puts them at increased risk of developing clinically significant emotional changes post-finasteride. Further complicating the matter is that PFS has been associated with either low or borderline testosterone levels among men who have stopped the medication resulting in hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. These low levels of gonadal hormones have themselves been attributed to cause men to experience depression, anxiety, and a decrease in quality of life (Aydogan et al., 2012). These important factors may constitute a perfect storm leading to the development of an anomalous emotional response in these men after stopping finasteride.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5734544/
And there's a post-finasteride syndrome foundation:
http://www.pfsfoundation.org/post-finasteride-syndrome-mental-neurological-symptoms/
Anyway, I thought all that was kind of interesting. I know that millions of men take Propecia and behave and feel perfectly fine, but this all just made me go hmmm.

(13,776 posts)Seriously.
It seemed crazy to think that if he would just stop taking Propecia and wear a toupee, the entire country might become a (somewhat) better place. But given your hypothesis, and the likely effects on anybody taking too much of it, it might actually be true.

(3,487 posts)this?
I don't believe in making fun of people's genetic inheritance (like Trump mocking the disabled reporter) so I don't really go there with the baldness thing, (although I hate every single facet of his existence), so I'm wondering if this is verifiably the Orange Anal Wart?
Why would it suddenly happen now?

That hair piece is being treasonous
Youll see the same bald spots in infants. Comes from laying on their backs and moving their head as they look around, basically rubbing off a patch of hair. I suspect all his executive time is spent in bed laying on his back moving his head between watching fox and tweeting.
And in that thread, Armchair_QB3 posted a link to the Chicago Tribune's list of the 100 best descriptions of Trump's hair:

(13,776 posts)Footage, widely shared on Wednesday, showed Trumps hair being dramatically swept about in a blustery wind, revealing what appeared to be a large hairless patch at the rear of his head and adding to longstanding speculation about the exact nature of Trumps mane.
snip
Bauman {a doctor who runs a hair restoration clinic} said he had met Trump personally and believed the presidents hair is firmly growing from his scalp and is not a hairpiece.
He does, however, use quite a bit of hairspray to maintain his preferred style, Bauman said.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for information.
