I have a feeling the reason why these shows aren't on anymore is that Conservatives couldn't stand looking in the mirror on a daily basis through the TV

(15,064 posts)Norman Lear produced the show and wanted to display bigotry for what it was. Lear in an unapologetic progressive liberal.
Conservatives didn't get the real humor the same way most of them didn't get Stephen Colbert at first.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The characters point out to each other and the audience when they are being jackasses, racists, idiots, making fun of groups, sexist, etc. etc. .
If that FB'er turned off the Faux News they would find a show like It's Always Sunny is a cult classic and learn that even a mixed race pushing 40 black woman in a posh northeast exurb laughs to the point of tears when she watches it.
To date - Al Sharpton has not boycotted FX.
Neither has Jesse Jackson.
