1. only if the people doing it want to go to jail

the most they can do is state the memo is in error or is based on flawed logic.

What they can't do is counter it by releasing the actual intelligence information that was cherry-picked by the Repukes. It is mostly classified and likely HIGHLY classified. Revealing it would result in a prosecution for violating quite a number of laws.

3. If it is released with trump's okay, that information would effectively have been declassified.

trump can declassify all by his onesies.
If it is declassified, the FBI should be able release that same information in toto.

4. Trump will declassify the memo

but not the underlying intelligence including all of the gathered info from the initial FISA warrant ( and anything gathered by subsequent renewals )

Sure, Donald COULD declassify all of it. But he won't. Just what makes the case against Rosenstein and Mueller and the FISA court.

6. The President is empowered by law to declassify anything he or she wants

However, there is a review process and it could certainly be considered by many to be treason.

I wonder what our Russian puppet president has already given away without official declassification to his Moscow minders. I know that if I was a CIA asset overseas right now I would be quite concerned for my safety.
