(41 posts)RM probably has an IQ of about 140ish. Trumpler comes in about 85ish....tops. So, even he knows he's way out of his league with her.

(29,067 posts)I actually remember only one -- Rand Paul -- and, as I recall, she made mincemeat of him -- in her cheerful, smiling way of course.

he needs information in micro-bit sized chunks to be able to process it at all.

(14,961 posts)Extent. I remember reading (the Devil's Bargain maybe) about how Steve Bannon was a big Rachel Maddow fan. I assume he has to be aware of her coverage, I know years ago he would tweet about Lawrence O'Donnell. Just bizzare, I wonder if she scares him?

(25,851 posts)First off, he's going to dismiss her out of hand because she's female. If anyone has bothered to tell him she's a lesbian, well, that puts her totally beneath his notice.
Second, her show comes on at 9pm, which means he's probably sound asleep by then.
Third, as has already been pointed out, her long college lecture hall style of setting the background for her stories would leave him unable to follow what she is actually reporting.
I'm only going to lend small credence to the possibility that he doesn't attack her because he's afraid of her, because I don't think he has any capability of being afraid of anyone. Keep in mind, he's a total narcissist, which means that to him no one else is real, everything is about him. Were he to watch her, he'd become so befuddled by what's being said, that he'd be unable to tweet anything at all.
I was going to say anything coherent, and then realized that many of his tweets aren't coherent.

Dunno. Seems like MSNBC night time is not on his radar.
I agree about Rachel's honesty. I appreciated her segment with Schumer last night. She does not roll over.
Would like to see her on a panel to moderate a presidential debate.
