(1,474 posts)Voting is the only chance we have to save democracy. Really is the main pillar of democracy.
If we vote, we win. Love your post!

(30,777 posts)I thought it said, "Reality is the main pillar of democracy."
But that is true about reality.
Vote. Vote. Vote. That is true, too.

(1,474 posts)reality very subjective. He has had much help. Al Sharpton says "We can have our own opinions but not our own facts". GOP has been trying to destroy that concept for decades. Will they succeed?

(12,265 posts)I see DU moving past it to 2020 and it makes me nuts. We should ban talk of 2020 until we get the house and senate back in 2018.

(10,844 posts)I couldn't agree more with your post. 2018 is far more important than 2020 because everything hangs on our success or failure in the mid-terms.
We can't afford distractions and that's what the endless lists of potential 2020 candidates are at the moment, shiny objects.

(30,777 posts)In my household, we have circulated nominating petitions. We are getting the word out for local and state candidates. Everyone should be doing this. Our goal should be to fill every seat with a Democrat, from dog catcher to President.

This tweet underscores the importance--One Shot to stop the damage and the madness. One Shot to reset our course as a Nation. One Shot to stop the Demented One and his Putin apologists from wrecking the foundations of the country: Rule of Law, Institutional integrity, etc.
Mueller is doing his thing and I wish him God speed in his investigations. But 2018 is our time when we, American citizens, will make it or break it.
We need to vote as if our lives depended on it. Because they do.
NastyRiffraff
(12,448 posts)Yes, a thousand times yes! Mueller is doing a great job, but we need to do our part. Vote, get others to vote, help them with any needed documents, check and recheck. Give up some time and GOTV. This is an emergency.
