I need an escape from all this political garbage with Trump and the GOP shithole. Sorry to put it that way but they are shitheads 100% and I would gladly send them all to another hostile planet given the option
With the likes of Youtube you can go back to the bouncey music of the 1920s' where they actually used clarinets, trombones, saxes, trumpets, violins, bassoons, tubas, pianos etc etc etc. The 1920's is where modern music and recording techniques really began. There were literally thousands of bands in the hotels and speakeasy playing real music.
Sure we have digital and modern music and certainly there is a lot of good music but there is so much corporate formula and uninspired junk. Some of it is just plain chaotic cacophony. So many bands have only just a few electronic instruments. Music is more than a selection of electric guitars and drums.
So much popular music is too limited to just a few instruments unless you go to a movie or broadway musical. Also it is amazing how many supposedly modern popular tunes were actually written nearly 100 years ago.
Thanks to PAX41 Music Time Machine, Past Perfect Vintage Music et al music nearly 100 years old can now be listened to appreciated my new generations. What would those composers, writers and band leaders think today knowing their music was still alive in the 21st century.
It is not that I am saying the all modern stuff is junk. It is that too much of it really is.

Hang out on my Grandparents farm in the summer.
Then go visit Austin in the 70's.
Good times.
