New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) will be sworn in for his second term in office by Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the senator's office confirmed Wednesday.


A spokesman for Sanders told The Hill that de Blasio had asked Sanders to preside over the ceremony.

but mistakenly replied to the wrong post. (Done that myself before.) I assure you I'm one of Bernie's BIGGEST fans and would NEVER say such a thing.

The real swearing-in happens at midnight and I believe has to be from a NY official. The first time Bill Clinton did the ceremonial swearing-in and the AG did the real one.
