In the movie the "Godfather", after Michael's brother had been killed, he accepted the fact that he would take over his father's crime organization to keep the family prosperous, and that he was now a criminal. In 2008, after several bankruptcies, the only bank that would give Trump a loan was Deutsche Bank, even though he had defaulted on a previous loan with them and sued them. This bank is refuted to have ties to Russian oligarchs. This is when Donald Trump had accepted the fact the he was becoming a crime boss, to protect the prosperity of his family. The difference is that Corleone would never be foolish enough to get involved with Russians, who would coax him into running for president, and compromise him in use against his own government.
