Barack Obama says he felt a sense of 'serenity' after Donald Trump's inauguration

Speaking in an interview for the BBC Radio 4's Today Program, former Obama described to Prince Harry of the U.K. royal family the moment he left the presidency behind.

"I think it was a satisfying feeling. That was mixed with all the work that was still undone. Concerns about how the country moves forward but, you know, overall there was serenity there. More than I would have expected," Obama said.

I will never forget the looks on the faces of Mr. and Mrs. Obama at that Inauguration. I felt so happy for them!

But if anyone deserves some serenity, it's the Obama family.

Obama said nothing about Donald Trump's Inauguration or his feelings about the Inauguration in general.

He was describing his feelings about having successfully completed his term in office as POTUS.

It's a sign of what we're up against these days.

However, your selection for quoting from the content of the article was perfect.

Good job, Joe.
