Trump rolls back use of fines against nursing homes cited for neglect, mistreatment

Utter Scumbag, you can guess who benefits from this......yes you guessed it...HIM.

The Trump administration is reportedly rolling back the use of fines against nursing homes that have been cited for violations such as neglect or mistreatment.

The move comes after the nursing home industry requested the change in the Medicare program's penalty protocols, The New York Times reported over the holiday weekend.

The American Health Care Association had argued that inspectors were too focused on finding wrongdoings at nursing homes instead of assisting the facilities.

“It is critical that we have relief,” Mark Parkinson, the group’s president, wrote in a letter to Donald Trump, then president-elect, in December 2016.

...................................

Disgraceful, so basically care homes can now do what they like with no threat of a fine........

It'll cost that industry in the form of funneling paybacks to his PACs for doing this for them? Seniors should remember this when voting, and them wanting to cut Medicare, Social Security, and raising all their costs for health care, and on and on.

so relaxing the inspections on senior care places should't be a problem.
