14. I was taken in by them at first viewing but felt pretty meh by the time I got to the car. Then I ...

started learning about the manipulation of facts to make the plots work and I almost got angry. Then I poured a beer and lit a doobie and then felt pretty meh about "debunking" popular fiction.

There are parts of the books that read well but they both went weak as milk as I read the last third, particulary Angels and Demons. I did really enjoy Digital Fortress. I hope it doesn't get turned into a lame movie.

15. The films had some interesting parts

... but “Angels and Demons” was waaaay over the top at the end.

The whole “Illuminati” ambigram thing at the opening was such BS. I’m a professional crossword constructor (NY Times), and was familiar with ambigrams. They were NOT some mysterious thing that the movie had claimed, since I’d seen many before. But they are pretty cool, I guess.

FYI: ambigrams can either have the inverted word remain the same, or as in my TRUMP/PUTIN thang, turn into another word.

Anyway ... this is waaay of topic politically ... yadda, yadda, yazza ...
