(23,166 posts)There is none. Name one good thing repugs have done in the last 9 years, just one. They are 99.99% evil IMO.

(1,201 posts)much less refuse to condemn. Republican office holders have been bought and sold. Why do you think they all have bodyguards or 20 of em for Pruitt. They know they robbed us. There is nothing good about this bill at all as far as the nation is concerned. If dems get a filibuster proof senate and congress we can get much of it reversed, except for the stacking of the courts.

(23,323 posts)Gonna take a lot of work, or the repugs are gonna have to REALLY muck up the economy. But we will get there.

(23,166 posts)I can't do it, so the brush seems appropriate to me. There's one thing that will always differentiate progressives from christo-fascists aka repugs, and that is the truth and caring for fellow citizens. I believe in science and facts and caring for those less fortunate, so can never fall victim to the pure emotional, factless, hatred of repugs.

As soon as they con their way into office they attempt to become little despots.

(35,374 posts)That $12 trillion addition to the deficit by 2027 projected in spring 2017 by the CBO with a sharp reduction in discretionary spending was all hunky-dory.
That already was "a future ... mandated for the next generation ... in which the government has few resources to respond to a major economic crisis, let alone to invest in keeping the country competitive."
Even the remaining "discretionary spending" as forecast by the CBO was still weighted differently, because some "discretionary spending" is all but untouchable, leaving what's available for things like, oh, "resources to respond to a major economic crisis" or "invest in keeping the country competitive" even more sharply reduced.
Meh, it's all good. We have a scapegoat and the really important thing is to not get the blame.

Our major foes are reaping the benefits of Trump's incompetence and his ill advised attempts to govern that makes him look like a sneering tyrant from a Hollywood movie set.

I see no major political party actually shouting on the front pages of the written papers that the coup is taking place, all with the
help of a silent congress.
Or maybe I'm totally insane.

(9,512 posts)...mass demonstrations are the only rhing that can stop the madness or at least slow ot down. It seems that people capable of calling for and organizing such demonstrations are not doing so. That should tell you: we are being left to our own devices.

So Kick and recommend this except for one thing. The rethugs never had any interest in governing- they work for the Kochs and their ilk.

(9,673 posts)What prevents us from un-Trumping every single executive order, signing statement, and GOP legislation when we take Congress in 2018 and the Oval Office in 2020?
These cretins have provided us a blueprint on how to march in unison in order to destroy a legacy. In this case, the legacy will have been the suffering and malgovernance of a nation.
We simply need to undo what has been done, or to insert our own self-destruct button into Trump-endorsed laws.
And then comes the business of apologizing to each and every ally that we've humiliated during Trump's tenure.
