Washington, D.C.’s Trump International Hotel got some (temporary) upgrades Tuesday night.

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) partnered with artist Robin Bell to project the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) “banned words” on the hotel along with what the HRC said was a “declaration from the LGBT community.”


“We will not be erased,” it said, along with “fetus,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “transgender,” “vulnerable,” “evidence-based” and “science-based,” all words that the Trump administration told the CDC not to use in its upcoming 2019 budget. The seven off-limits words also applied to supporting materials for Congress and CDC partners.

8. Suggested. It is almost the same. In this situation public servants get

scared. I was at dinner with 2 public servants when Stephen Harper had been Prime Minister for at least a year. We asked them what they felt about one policy and they answered in unison 'we support the government's position' , or something like that, like a couple of zombies. And I realized they were scared of being fired for having an opinion. They previously had not been shy to express themselves. When you have a conservative bully in power who likes to make example of firing and letting go public servants, it happens. It happened in Ottawa.
