(111,437 posts)16 years ago, just before I moved into the neighborhood. The store shut down for a couple of years before reopening. It remained a video store until Netflix killed them off. I think it's an appliance and furniture rental place now.
Ghouls never materialized. The store was just shut down until the major mourning period and the first anniversary were over and remained shut for a while after that before reopening.
That mass murder was a couple of substance abusers, one of whom sobered up and told her friends what had happened. They were looking for drug money.
